Patch Invites Small Businesses to Free Workshop

Join us at the Walnut Creek Library April 25 for a lively interactive workshop designed to help small businesses better promote themselves online.

Patch would like to invite Concord area businesses to join us next week for a Main Street Meet-Up, a workshop about how to make the most of online marketing opportunities.

Our special guest for next Wednesday's event at the Walnut Creek Library is Heather McNeil, a foodie blogger and business social media consultant extraordinaire who has more than 2,900 followers on Twitter. McNeil also just helped plan Walnut Creek's first , taking place this week.

The official sponsor of the Main Street Meet-Up is , which offers a full array of financial/brokerage services to its clients. Thank you Alamo Capital for your support!

The event will be held 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 25, at the Oak View Room in, 1644 North Broadway. We’ll serve refreshments, give out door prizes and cool Patchy swag and set up learning stations about social media, business directories, blogging and telling your story online.

We’ll be helping participating business owners claim their Patch Places business page on our site, a free service that you can use to better promote your business. And if you’re already an active Patch user, we’d still like you to come and help your fellow business owners and the Patch team learn more about what works when it comes to navigating the web.
