Local Chocolate Factory Hiring 40 People

Rachel Dunn Chocolates is looking for holiday help in Concord.

The Rachel Dunn Chocolates Factory announced Thursday that it is hiring 40 people for its Concord, California location to help with the holiday harvest.

The hiring process is unusual for these types of positions.

“There’s so much more to a person than a paper employment application can express,” Rachel Dunn explained. “That's why we're asking applicants to submit a brief video explaining what talents and skills they bring that will enhance our customers’ holiday experience.“

The 29-year-old company is ramping up production for the 2013 holiday season and focusing on spreading its flavor of holiday cheer. It's claim to fame is a product called The Original Unbelievable Apple. Each one weighs an average of two and a half pounds and serves 12 people. Inside the layers of Guittard chocolate and roasted almonds is a Fuji apple.

New employees will be processing holiday orders of that product and others.
