Flying Colors Comics Recovering from Weekend Vandals in Concord

"FlyingCo Faithful" -- swing by and decorate the plywood door!

Flying Colors Comics & Other Cool Stuff, on Treat Boulevard in Concord, was broken into over the weekend.

But the owner reports that today -- Sunday -- the comic book store is open for business and invites locals to stop by and decorate the temporary door, according to the business' Facebook page.

"Let's have some fun," said Flying colors. "Artists of all ages, you're invited to draw on our temporary front door. Comic book related stuff only."

"No merchandise was stolen, but the financial loss is significant," said the store's posting.

"As for how we're doing ... all of us feel a weirdness that anyone would target our small business. But we're all doing OK... and one of our FlyCo Faithful stepped up to help us out with boarding up the front door until the new glass arrives."

Flying Colors is at 2980 Treat Blvd at Oak Grove Road -- and open until 7 p.m.
