Contra Costa Lawyers Hosting Gala to Honor Retired Commissioner

Don Green's lifelong commitment to senior legal issues will be commemorated.

The local legal community will gather in Lafayette, California on Thursday to honor Don Green, announced the Contra Costa County Bar Association.

Green is a retired Contra Costa Superior Court Probate Commissioner who champions endeavors that support seniors. Attorneys involved with Contra Costa Senior Legal Services will be hosting a gala to bolster the non-profit organization’s initiatives.

The organization specializes in helping people who are more than 60 years old clarify the law in the fields of housing, consumer finance, and elder abuse issues, according to Lisa Reep, member of the Contra Costa County Bar Association.

The organization organizes clinics at senior centers throughout the county, where attorneys help people pro bono.

The event is from 6-8 p.m. on September 19 at the Lafayette Park Hotel, located at 3287 Mount Diablo Boulevard in Lafayette, Calif.

The Contra Costa County Bar Association is located at 2300 Clayton Road in Concord, California.
