Transbay BART Service Restored, Delays Expected

Trains to run at reduced speed after reopening of transbay tunnel, according to the transit agency.

BART trains between the East Bay Area and San Francisco are once again operational after being  due to damage from a fire adjacent to the West Oakland station.

Service through the Transbay Tube was shut down until 3:48 p.m., according to BART.

Trains will cross the tunnel at reduced speeds and delays are likely, the agency warned.
