What Time Does Concord's 'Singing Flag' Start?

The Independence Day celebration at Dave Brubeck Park includes a patriotic show and fireworks on July 2, 3 and 4.

Calvary Temple Church kick-starts the Fourth of July holiday with its annual "Singing Flag" event on July 2, 3 and 4 in Dave Brubeck Park, Concord. 

This year marks the 25th anniversary of the patriotic show. Here's what you need to know about the show.

Cost
Admission is free, although donations are accepted.

Activities
The children’s "Fun Zone" area — complete with inflatables, face painting and characters — opens at 4 p.m., along with a full concession stand and barbecue.

The "Singing Flag"
The "Singing Flag" show starts at 7:30 p.m. on July 2, 3 and 4. Fireworks follow the show.

Parking
Handicapped parking available at Concord High School with convenient golf cart transportation available to lawn seating area.

Regular parking available at El Dorado and Westwood Elementary Schools.

Seating
Lawn seating is general and handicap accessible. Blankets or low lawn chairs are allowed. Umbrellas, tents, and plastic tarps with rocks are not allowed.

Dave Brubeck park opens at 6 a.m. and many people come and put a blanket out at that time to reserve seating. Blankets may not be left overnight and will be removed.
