The Backstreet Boys Are Coming to Concord

Try not to squeal too loudly — but the heartthrob boy band of the '90s is back with a US tour that ends at the Concord Pavilion on Sept. 8, 2013.

Time has flown for the '90s kids who spent hours learning the lyrics to "As Long As You Love Me," "I Want It That Way,"and "All I Have To Give" while staring at a Nick Carter poster. In fact, it's been 20 years since the band formed. And now — Backstreet's back.

When the Backstreet Boys get back from touring in China, the band begins a series of 24 US performances spanning August and the beginning of September.

The "In A World Like This" tour only includes two California locations — Irvine and Concord.

That's right. The Backstreet Boys will be "Larger Than Life" at 7 p.m. on Sept. 8 at the Sleep Train Pavilion in Concord. Tickets start at $24 plus fees and already went on sale for fan club members. Early tickets can also be bought between 10 a.m. May 16 to 10 p.m. May 17 by downloading the Live Nation app on your smartphone. The online presale runs May 17 from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Citicard members can buy tickets from May 15 to 10 p.m. May 17.

General ticket sales start May 18 at 10 a.m. for most tour dates and can be purchased through LiveNation.com
