Music and Market Series Takes It Easy and Gets Cookin'
The Eagles cover band Hotel California performs a free concert in the plaza Thursday and local chefs participate in the mayor's cook-off challenge.
The 2013 Music and Market Series continues Thursday, July 18, with Eagles cover band Hotel California from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. and the farmers' market from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
The Mayor's Healthy Cook-Off Challenge will also take place in the plaza. Mayors from several cities in Contra Costa County will each bring a chef who will be given a grocery bag containing a protein item and produce from local farmers. The chefs must use all the items to create a dish in time for judging at 6:30 p.m.
