Movie Gears Up for August Filming in Concord

See video on website describing 'Chasing Rodriguez.'

This is your chance to chase Rodriguez all over Concord.

A video has been posted on the website of Chasing Rodriguez, a movie filming in Concord and Contra Costa County in August. In the video, Director Jeff Mosley, who is a veteran Hollywood stuntman, and a crew of youngsters encourage prospective actors to contact them for August filming.

Part of the proceeds of the film are to benefit the Mount Diablo Unified School District.

The plot of the film involves four teenagers competing in a film contest. They happen to inadvertently film a robbery in progress, and the plot goes from there, according to the video on the Chasing Rodriguez website.

Mosley’s credits include the television show Trauma and the movies The Pursuit of Happyness and Matrix Reloaded.

"This is my first time to get behind the camera,” Mosley said in with Patch. “So I haven’t given up on the dream. I’ve come up with some new creative ideas on how to help fund it and get the community involved.”
