Mountain Shadow Film Society Raises Curtain on 2014 Season

New film society to screen independent and foreign movies near Concord.

A new film society is kicking off its 2014 season on Friday at the Walnut Creek Public Library.

Mountain Shadow Film Society, a non-profit film society startup, plans to bring many independent and foreign films to the Concord area this year. Every second Friday of the month, the society will screen new movies. 

The first movie screening of the season will feature the Italian Film Mine Vagnati.  The opening film will be a Finnish short called Do I Have to Take Care of Everything?

Both movies will have English subtitles.  Tickets are $12 or free with an annual membership to the Mountain Shadow Film Society.

Friday’s movie screening starts at 7:30 p.m. on January 17, 2014 in the Oak View Room of the Walnut Creek Public Library.
