Friday Photo: Rescue Drill or the Real Deal?

A glimpse of life around Pacific Palisades.

Do you like to take pictures? Have you recently captured a shot of something neat in town?

Patch user Gerry Wallfesh posted this photo to our gallery of a helicopter following and hovering over a boat in the ocean on Nov. 13. Thanks for sharing, Gerry!

Anyone know if this was a rescue drill or the real deal?

Send us your favorite shot from around Pacific Palisades and it could become our Photo of the Day! What's the easiest way to get your photos posted? Upload directly to our Pacific Palisades Photo and Video Gallery!

Yes that's for real. It's our Coast Guard Aux training with Air Station Los Angeles helicopters. We train every Tuesday, some Thursdays with Sacramento's air unit, C 130's, which fly down to train with us. Awesome fun!
