The Musical Adventures of Flat Stanley

The Musical Adventures of Flat Stanley, Jr. follows the life of 10-year-old Stanley Lambchop. Tired of his ordinary, normal life, Stanley wants to travel the world and do amazing things. One night, the bulletin board on the wall above Stanley's bed comes loose and falls on top of Stanley. The next morning, he wakes up flat. “Not just a little flat -- really, really flat,” says Edejer. Stanley not only gets his wish, he becomes the ultimate exchange student as he scours the globe for a solution to his unusual problem. He's stamped, posted and cancelled from Hollywood to France to Honolulu and beyond. And whether he's thwarting a robbery at the Louvre Museum in Paris, or "hanging ten" off the coast of Hawaii, Stanley is closing in on his goal of being a three-dimensional boy once more.

Isaac has been with the Youth Theatre Company's (YTC) Junior Theatre program for two years. "I'm really enjoying the show,” he remarks. “It basically says if you think your life is boring, it's really not. Every day can be an adventure. You just have to look for it."

Long-time YTC director Nina Meehan directs the show with Nicole McGann designing the choreography and Kevin Weinert the music director. The Musical Adventures of Flat Stanley, Jr. performs February 24 at 7 p.m. and February 25 at 2 and 7 p.m. at the Del Valle Theatre, 1963 Tice Valley Blvd. in Walnut Creek.
