Concord has lost funding for the popular Thursday Night Music and Market series that takes place during the summer in Todos Santos Plaza. We’re sending out an SOS, "Save Our Series,” and invite everyone who loves the music in Todos Santos Plaza to attend this very special benefit gala on Sunday April 15 at the Agave Grill and Brenden Theatres at 1935 Willow Pass Road in downtown Concord. All proceeds go to fund the 2012 summer music series. The event is presented by Todos Santos Business Association and OceanWorks Productions and sponsored by the City of Concord.

Agave Grill will host a pre-event reception starting at 4 p.m. serving delectable appetizers paired with local beer and wine. Also providing hors d’oeuvres will be The Old Spaghetti Factory and The Tower Grille of Todos Santos Plaza.

At 5:30, take a red carpet stroll to the Brenden Theatre for the start of a newsworthy Battle of the Bands – CBS Channel 5's Eyewitness Blues Band takes on PUSH, featuring KGO Channel 7's Dan Ashley in a rock and roll showdown. Annie Sampson--Concord's Blues Diva and former lead singer of Stoneground, will also perform.

For the past 23 years, Concord's Music and Market Series has been one of the Bay Area's most vibrant, eclectic and popular civic live music scenes, drawing thousands of people of all ages and backgrounds throughout the region to Todos Santos Plaza where concert goers enjoy great music, popular downtown restaurants, the fabulous Pacific Coast Farmers' Market and each other.
