Where Do You Go to Play Tourist in Your Own Backyard?

This new column on Concord Patch highlights places in Concord to discover this weekend. Where are your favorite hidden treasures? Comment, and add pictures by clicking "upload."

Being fairly new to Concord, I'm fortunate in the sense that everywhere I go I'm technically "playing tourist" and discovering the city. There are 30 square miles to explore, and this column, "Hidden Gems," will be dedicated to doing just that.

But I can't do it alone. I'll need your suggestions, which you can give by commenting below or emailing me at Emily.Henry@Patch.com. Share photographs of your favorite places by clicking the "upload" button above, and I'll be sure to feature the best.

Think about it this way: where do you take family and friends somewhere unique when they come from out of town? Where do you go when you want to appreciate the beauty, culture and fun of Concord off the beaten track? What's your ideal spot for a stay-cation?
