What Are You Thankful For?

Count your blessings on this day of Thanksgiving and share your gratitude in the comments.

Thanksgiving is a wonderful American tradition that I am grateful to have adopted after moving here four or so years ago from England. Of course, I appreciate the turkey, the stuffing and the family. But to have an entire holiday dedicated to gratitude? That is the most resoundingly humbling thing of all.

This holiday gives us a moment to breathe, to take it all in. We get a chance to look at 2012 and ask: what have I been blessed with this year?

For me, the answer revolves around the city of Concord. I moved here this summer into my first ever real home... a city that offered friends, family, and a job that I enjoy doing every day. After all, how many people are blessed with the opportunity to explore their town and indulge every curiosity with the added bonus of providing information to the locals and responding to their questions?

I want to thank Concordians who have been reading Concord Patch and engaging with the site. I really appreciate the feedback and the welcome I have received and I look forward to continuing to report and explore for you in the coming year.

I also want to add that, after a very hectic takeover of Concord Patch, I am very much looking forward to a day off to take it all in and appreciate how wonderful life can be. I wish you all a very happy and peaceful Thanksgiving.
