Weekend Events: Haunted House, Pumpkin Patch and Zombie Beer Crawl

The Halloween season gets underway this weekend in Central Contra Costa County. Scare yourself silly, find some fun things to do and check the weather for Oct. 19 to 21.

Halloween is still more than a week away, but the celebrations have started early in Central Contra Costa County. Pumpkins have been placed on porches and glorious ghouls decorate the houses. Costume creation is underway and the stores are awash in black and orange. And there are plenty of events this weekend to get us in the spirit.

The weather will be clear Friday and Saturday, with highs of 77 degrees during the day, dropping to around 55 degrees at night. Sunday is expected to be partly cloudy and 68 degrees with a low of 54 degrees in the evening.
