Today On Patch: New Boards and a New Look

Welcome to the new Patch. I'm Emily Henry, your Concord Patch editor, and I'd like to introduce you to a livelier redesign that better reflects the community, starting with the photo at the top of the site of a sunny farmers' market day in Todos Santos Plaza.

The new site not only looks better, but it's also easier to comment on and share stories. And right below the news on the homepage you’ll also see blogs, where more Concord voices are being showcased to give us a view of what’s happening beyond the news. Plus, it's easier to start a blog yourself — any time, about anything. Any budding writers out there, community experts or local personalities should give it a try and start a blog on Concord Patch. Here's mine, where I've just posted my thoughts on why the demolition of the "dome" theater had such an impact on nostalgic locals.

Speaking of reader voices, the freshest thing you’ll find on the new Patch are our Boards. The Boards are an open place on Patch where you can post Announcements about anything you want — from lost cats and dogs to school plays, wedding announcements or local sports game results. There’s a Speak Out Board — because everyone in town has an opinion, so why not put it all in one place? The Buy/Sell/Trade Board is where you can post information your garage sale and get rid of the stuff that’s taken over your basement. And there’s a Board for Business Updates — a dedicated spot for business owners to post news about sales, specials, openings and closings.

Patch is all about our community — living our best lives in town, and making our town better for ourselves and our families. So please, tell us what you think of the new Patch by posting on the Opinion Board. We look forward to hearing from you!
