Summer Traffic Advisory: Expect Delays on Downtown Willow Pass During Sewer Repairs

City of Concord announcement:

Drivers on Willow Pass Road between Galindo and Mira Vista streets in downtown Concord should expect delays over the next seven weeks as crew replace a sewer line on the south side of the street. 

The project is due to start Monday, July 14 with a target completion date of Friday, Aug. 29.

Work will be conducted from Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. 

Willow Pass Road will be open to traffic during construction with lane closures to accommodate the project.

The City is in the process of replacing the sewer lines in the downtown area. 

Many of the lines are clay pipe from the ‘40s and ‘50s, and are undersized or failing. 

The project is being funded through the City’s Sewer Enterprise Fund.
