Photo of the Day: Fog Arrives in Concord

CHP issues fog advisories.

The above shot was taken in a Concord neighborhood Sunday night around 9 p.m. as fog rolled in across the Bay Area.

The California Highway Patrol has alerted drivers about foggy conditions on Bay Area bridges and highways early this morning.

A fog advisory was issued for the Bay, Carquinez and Benicia-Martinez bridges at 12:10 a.m.

The CHP reported dense fog on the Bay Bridge, requiring extra signage for drivers.

A fog advisory for San Mateo County was issued at 1:11 a.m., while a heavy fog alert was in place at 1:08 a.m. for a section of northbound Interstate Highway 280 around Edgewood Road near Redwood City.

The CHP said visibility on Highway 280 is limited to 10 to 15 feet because of heavy fog.
