Oktoberfest Comes to Clayton This Weekend

The 8th Annual Oktoberfest is starts Friday night.

The Clayton Business and Community Association is hosting Oktoberfest in downtown Clayton this weekend.

The festivites start Friday night with the carnival at 6 p.m.

On Saturday on Sunday, the beer starts flowing at 12:30 p.m. and there will be live music and Bavarian dancers, along with the carnival, throughout the weekend.

All the money generated from the event goes back to the community through the CBCA.

There's expected to be at least 50,000 people coming through downtown this weekend, according to councilmember Joe Medrano.

"Not only is it a fun event, but the money helps the community, with the schools and other projects," Medrano said.
