The body of 77-year-old John McConeghy of Bay Point was found at the Military Ocean Terminal in Concord last week, according to the Contra Costa Sheriff's department. The man, who had dementia, was reported missing Oct. 15.

A 22-year-old Stockton man pleaded guilty in federal court Tuesday to robbing six banks — including a Bank of the West branch in Concord — between February and March of this year.

Also this week: Concord's high school football teams are excelling, with De La Salle beating Pittsburg in the NCS playoffs to head to the semi-finals. Meanwhile, The Clayton Valley Eagles and the Concord High Minutemen will meet on the field Friday to determine who will go on to the championship game.
