CSS has partnered with Macy's to sell $5 savings passes, which give shoppers 25 percent off all day long in any Macy's store. All of the proceeds raised from the passes goes to CSS and its parent organization, Contra Costa ARC.

The deadline for buying savings passes is Friday, Aug. 23. Passes can be purchased by contacting Ann Shackleford on (925) 825-5665 or by emailing ashackleford@arcofcc.org.

Contra Costa ARC provides programs and services to more than 1,000 children and adults with developmental difficulties every day, according to the ARC website. The organization aim to "help enrich and enhance the lives of people who struggle with learning difficulties and enable them to grow in personal independence and self-sufficiency."
