Dogged Rescue Crews Make Appearance
Rescue dog association tells its story at Pet Food Express.
The California Rescue Dog Association was out in force over the weekend, telling the story of their intrepid, trained rescue dogs. Representatives were at the Pet Food Express on Ygnacio Valley Road in Concord (and other area Pet Food Expresses). The proceeds from pet wash tokens went to the CARDA handlers, who pay for raising, training and deploying the dogs that fulfill a vital mission.
At the Concord store and others, Leah Waarvik of Oakland and her rescue dog, Emma, appeared. They are respectively the author and star of a book titled I Sit and Stay, which explains the life of a rescue dog to children.
