Eddie Gonzales crosses Monument Boulevard at Carey Drive with his daughter Princess, age 3, and his black and white umbrella.

It was a good day for umbrellas and puddles and ducks. There was light rain early Monday evening, returning around noontime Tuesday. In the 24 hours preceding 4:53 a.m. Tuesday, 0.12 inches of rain fell, according to weather statistics recorded by the National Weather Service at Buchanan Field Airport in Concord.
