Concord Pride! New Tourism Campaign Kicks Off at May 29 Music & Market Series

The new “Diablo Valley – Defying Expectations” campaign  -- created to showcase Concord and the surrounding Diablo Valley area as a conference and tourist destination for local, national and international travelers -- officially launches during the City of Concord’s May 29 Music & Market Series.

Mayor Tim Grayson will address the public at the historic Todos Santos Plaza followed by a free Stealin’ Chicago concert, give-aways and information for Concord residents and businesses about what the Diablo Valley initiative means to the city.

Attendees will also learn how to enter to win two back stage tours and VIP Lounge Passes to a concert of their choice at the newly renovated Concord Pavilion.

Those involved: Visit Concord, the new Tourism Business Improvement District, the City of Concord and the Greater Concord Chamber of Commerce, and representatives from the Diablo Valley initiative hotels including the Crowne Plaza Concord, the Hilton Concord, the Clarion Hotel, Premier Inns/E-Z 8, Best Western Plus Heritage Inn, Motel 6 Concord, America's Best Value Inn, Studio 6 Concord, and the Days Inn Concord.

The goal of the Diablo Valley initiative is to call attention to the beauty, convenience, adventure and value in the area for leisure travelers, meeting planners, and those looking to plan weddings and social events.
