Comment of the Day: 'What I Wished I'd Known About Concord'

One commenter on the Concord Patch Facebook page said that she wished people realized "that there isn't a huge difference in location between Martinez, Concord, Walnut Creek, Pleasant Hill, even San Ramon, Danville etc. except for PRICE and Distance." She added that, "it's a great location and has a lot to offer, including all the beautiful trails and history."

Concord Mayor Dan Helix said that for those considering a move to Concord, he would want them to know that the Concord City Council is "committed to transparency in government," makes decisions in public and is "sensitive to how the people's money is spent."

Helix added: "We are proud of Concord being called a safe city that cares about families and young people. We have a great park system that will get better as the former Weapons Station is developed."
