Member volunteers at Assistance League® Way Side Inn Thrift Shop, located at 3521 Golden Gate Way in Lafayette, encourage you to commemorate the Fourth of July 2014 with a profusion of red, white, and blue. These very colors that symbolize valor, innocence, and perseverance abound at this well-known landmark, dignified by the statue of Marquis de Lafayette—most apropos!
How better to celebrate this significant chapter in our nation’s history than by displaying the “Stars and Stripes!” While not numerous, flags ranging in several sizes are available. As in previous years, such patio ware as washable placemats, platters, pitchers, statuettes, and sparkling table scape enhancements promise to move quickly. Decorative tins, colored vases, creamer/sugar/coffee mug sets, mini star-shaped candles, balloon weights, gift bags, and (would you believe) Christmas ornaments should complete your list.
And how better to celebrate the Fourth of July than by selecting tops, pants, shoes, belts, scarves, handbags, and straw hats to help you make that personal statement! Should you have a surplus of any of these items, member volunteers are happy to take them off your hands in an exchange for a tax donation receipt.
