Happy 2014! Now that you’ve flipped your calendar to January, this is a reminder that Assistance League® of Diablo Valley will host a Prospective Member Coffee on Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at 9:30 A.M., at the Community Resource Center®, 2711 Buena Vista Avenue, in Walnut Creek.
Commitments include testing preschool children for vision, providing clothing for elementary schoolchildren, performing educational puppet shows for schoolchildren, reading to second grade students, helping scholarship applicants, or supplying emergency clothing, food and supplies to those in crisis. You could also make daily assurance calls to homebound clients or perform in musical revues at local care facilities.
