Contra Costa County honors the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., on January 22, 2013, with a special program from 11:00 a.m. until noon at 651 Pine Street, Martinez.
The Board of Supervisors will honor the Humanitarian of the Year and Student Humanitarian of the Year, and Contra Costa Community College District Chancellor Dr. Helen Benjamin will provide the keynote speech.
Entertainment will be provided by the Los Medanos College Gospel Choir.
The event is open to the public, and will also air live on CCTV, Comcast Channel 27 and Astound Channel 32.
