The City of Concord has selected Justin Ezell as its new Director of Public Works. His first day will be Tuesday, Sept. 4.
Since 2007, Ezell has been the Public Works Superintendent for the City of Redwood City. His duties include oversight of the City’s Water Utilities division. He recently completed Phase I of Redwood City’s $72 million Recycled Water Project.
“We are excited to welcome Justin to the City of Concord,” said Interim City Manager Valerie Barone. “His emphasis on team work, use of new technology to enhance efficiency, and passion for excellence make him a great fit for our organization.”
Previous to his position in Redwood City, Ezell served in the public works departments in the City of Sunnyvale (2005-2007), and Paso Robles (2000-2005). Before working in the public sector, he was the sole proprietor of a family-owned, full-service machine shop which specialized in the fabrication and repair of agricultural and municipal equipment. Ezell holds a B.S. degree in Organizational Behavior and Leadership from the University of San Francisco.
