Concord Police Talk Girl Off The Roof

Nine-year-old was threatening to leap from the one-story-high roof of Sun Terrace Elementary School Wednesday morning.

Concord police officers on Wednesday morning were able to convince a 9-year-old girl, who was threatening to jump, to come down off the roof of Sun Terrace Elementary School.

The girl was placed for psychiatric evaluation after the incident reported at 9:38 a.m. Wednesday, police said. The roof is one story high at the school on Floyd Lane in North Concord, police said.
