Video: Blue Devils' 2012 Auditions Are Under Way

Concord's world-class drum and bugle corps has begun testing candidates for the 2012 season.

Concord-based Blue Devils Drum and Bugle Corps is looking to add a 15th trophy to its collection of world-titles, but not before finding new members to fill open spots.

Concord Patch stopped by College Park High School Saturday afternoon to find out what brought close to 150 performers from all corners of the country and some from abroad to try out for a spot in the blue and black brass section.

Those chosen to join the group will have to start showing up at training workshops in January and move to the area in May, when the intense mandatory training begins, according to audition organizers.

Saturday and Sunday's auditions were held for the brass and color guard sections, while next weekend's will be for the front ensemble, battery and drum major sections.
